In this program Karissa Blunck will share how to work with Photoshop to bring damaged photographs, drawings and more back to life so they can be treasured for years to come. Photographic Restoration is an art that requires patience and attention to detail. With lots of practice, restoration can become a process that brings joy to not only you but your family and clients. She will guide students through the full restoration process from finding images, workflow, photoshop tools to use and beginning techniques. She will also share advanced techniques including hand colorization and adding new backgrounds to give a modern and creative look to vintage photos. To help her hand colorized restorations look historically accurate, Karissa researches colors and will share how she chooses colors.

This class will have lots of time for hands-on practice. Sample practice photo will be provided for students to work on along with Karissa. Students will learn the process of restoration, copy work and colorization in real time. Students of all levels of restoration skill will be able to take something away from this program.

Attendees should bring their laptop with photoshop installed and a Wacom Tablet if they have one. Basic Photoshop skills are recommended.
