Day 8 - March 3, 2018

Today I travelled home to Olympia to go to a meeting at 89.3 FM KAOS Olympia. I have a show called he Sound on Thursday's from 8-10pm PST and our membership drive is coming up. So we had a meeting about it. :) After the meeting, I wandered around The Evergreen State College Campus and took some photos.

Day 7 - March 2, 2018

Today I went to Townshend's Teahouse  in the Montavilla neighborhood of Portland with my dad. While there, I enjoyed a delicious mint cream latte, and my dad had kombucha. On the way out, we each got some loose leaf tea and a drink to go, dad got a matcha latte and I got a lavender bubble tea! As I write this post at 11 am on March 8, I am enjoying a cup of the Albert Street Chai.

After we returned to my grandparent's house, I photographed my new tea and a few other things in their kitchen. A vintage phone, dried mango and the house plant. :)

Day 6 - March 1, 2018

Today my dad and I went to Salem. Before we left my grandparents house, I got some pictures of the furry friends that like to run around the backyard.

In Salem, we went to this awesome coffee shop downtown called the Governor's Cup and enjoyed some lattes before heading to The Book Bin and Ranch Records!

Day 5 - Feb 28, 2018

Today I drove to Oregon to visit my Dad for his Birthday. I just got back to Olympia on Saturday afternoon, so I'm a few days behind on posting :) For today's photo, I took pictures of my Dad's bamboo and books!

Day 4 - Feb 27, 2018

Today's pictures weren't taken until well after midnight, but I feel that a day is never really over until you go to sleep. For today's picture I decided to photograph one of my favorite things in the studio; tea! I drink tea constantly and Yogi Tea is one of my favorite brands. I love the quotes they have on the tea tags, I enjoy thinking about the quote while I enjoy my cup of tea. I chose to make some Soothing Caramel Bedtime Tea since I was taking pictures just before bed. I especially loved tonight's tea quote. I also photographed a few other test subjects while waiting for my tea to steep.

Day 3 - Feb 26, 2018

When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.
— Ansel Adams

Today my mom and I spent the afternoon at our Centralia studio and I took some pictures of our vintage cameras and radio. I love how these look in the moody sepia tone.

Day 2 Feb 25, 2018

By the time I took today's pictures, the sun had nearly set. There was just enough light to take a few pictures outside. Here are some of my favorite images from today!

Nature’s first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower; But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay.
— Robert Frost

Day 1 - Feb 24, 2018

My final quarter of college in 2015, I decided to start a project to photograph every single day as part of my independent studies. I kept it up for awhile but I didn't complete a full year of shooting daily. Since it's been 3 years since I started a 365 project, I decided to start up again and photograph something every day for a whole year. I'm going to try to post daily as well, and some days I'll end up making multiple posts in a day if I miss a post. But regardless if I post on time, I will photograph something everyday and share it here on this blog, on my Instagram account @karissablunck and @karissablunckphoto, as well as on my facebook page.  Here on the blog, I'll share more details, and maybe an extra photo or two from my daily photography adventures! xoxo - Karissa

For the first day of my 365 project, I decided to just walk around the yard and take pictures of random things, the last bits of snow, like seen in the photo below.  I'd already been outside for 30 minutes or so, and I heard my mom come around the corner with Rosie and Daisy! So we decided to do a few photos of my precious pups outside in the bed of this ol' Ford.
